A shine of rainbows.

I woke up today in an ordinary bed, draped in a ladies embrace. She was frail and grey like a slightly threatening cloud. She smiled a near toothless smile and rested her wigless head on my chest.

We spent her last day together, doing all the things that children do. Fed ducks in the park, rode the Ferris wheel, built a sandcastle.

I think she died happy. Whoever she was.
